Hallowe’en has only just passed and yet the news remains rather grim. Last month we reported on the nightmare of escalating construction costs, https://lnkd.in/dkG2ufwz but the construction industry is not the only sector that is being affected by rising costs. It will come as little surprise to anyone that the care sector too is under considerable pressure, and with that pressure comes other inevitable consequences. For a start there are fewer carers – a combination of Brexit and the turmoil created by a global pandemic for a sector which was really at the eye of the storm. And with those sort of shortages, comes the inevitable rise in costs.
