Role Overview:

 

PLG Consultants is seeking a proactive, friendly, and supportive Head of finance and operations to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth financial and operational running of our company, contributing to both strategic planning and day-to-day management. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of our senior management team, bringing a balance of financial acumen and operational expertise to support our mission of transforming lives through accessible homes.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Ensure and maintain the company’s financial stability, including cash flow management and financial performance monitoring.
  • Produce and manage invoices and create detailed weekly financial reports.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce overheads and optimize credit control processes.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial assessments and forecasts, aligning with budgetary and operational goals.
  • Work with external partners for the preparation of management accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.

 

 

Operations Management:

  • Oversee the company’s bespoke CRM system to ensure efficient operation and data integrity.
  • Ensure the smooth running of both PLG offices, handling insurance, vehicle management, and other operational logistics.
  • Develop and implement department-specific strategies that align with and enhance the overall business plan.
  • Continuously work with management to refine best practices, aiming to deliver the highest level of client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with senior managers and external partners to manage and update IT systems and HR processes.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar financial and operational role.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in using financial software and CRM systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and supportive team player, with a passion for making a difference.
