To follow from last years prestigious National LABC award PLG Consultants have been announced as the regional winner in both the West Midlands and Central regions at the LABC Building Excellence Awards 2023 in the category, ‘Best Residential Conversion or Alteration to an Existing Home.’
We are delighted to share that we have been announced as the regional winner in both the West Midlands and Central regions at the LABC Awards, for ‘Best Residential Conversion or Alteration to an Existing Home. Both projects have also been shortlisted as finalists at the LABC Grand Finals January 2024.
Central
Cheshunt
After working closely with the family to initially find them a suitable rental home in Central London, we were delighted to come together with the family once again to create a dramatic transformation of this former farmhouse. Incredible therapy and family space was created along with a much needed hydrotherapy pool. The landscaped gardens also provide secluded and private space for the family and their son to enjoy. The new collection of Goats, Chickens and other animals are also delighted to enjoy the space too.

Hampton in Arden
This project is a fantastic example of adaptation and extension which had to evolve as complicated situations arose on site which could not have been foreseen. It shows how Design Teams and Building Control can work together to ensure that the initial aims of a project can continue to be met, in the face of significant challenge.
This project has made an unimaginable difference to the lives of our client and her family. It has given them the space they needed to enjoy family life and ensure that they can stay together, as well as providing a space which will enable all our client’s needs, both now and in the future can be met easily. As well as this, it has also enabled her therapy to be expanded with a hydrotherapy pool, which is already having a significant impact on her happiness.
