As a project architect, Karen ensures that every aspect of a project is aligned with the overall requirements of the client. Karen will work closely with the client and their team to understand their vision and specific requirements and will relay those requirements to other members of the design team.
Experience
Karen has over a decade’s experience working in architecture, specialising in domestic projects and disability adaptation schemes.
Prior to joining PLG, Karen worked in a small firm specialising in sustainable and heritage design, designing extensions, adaptations and new build homes. Prior to this, she gained experience working for a firm installing disabled adaptations to Nottingham City Council Buildings, including leisure centres, libraries and housing. Additionally, her two weeks volunteering as part of the Gamesmaker Mobility Team at the London 2012 Olympics has provided her with an insight into some of the challenges which occupants with mobility issues can face which further enhances her designs.
